However given the massive computational demand and time involved in setting up and solving an LES solution, our engineers also make use of Detached Eddy Simulation (DES) and Scale Adaptive Simulation (SAS) turbulence models. Combining RANS and LES in a more efficient manner, the computational time and effort required on the domain mesh is significantly reduced.
