Service Packs
If you have a previous version of ANSYS V12 (the initial release) already you are advised to service patch the license manager.
Please download and install the following depending on whether you have a 32 or 64 Bit pc:

32 Bit license manager service pack
64 Bit license manager service pack

How to get your ANSYS V12 Installed and Service Pack?

You will need to download the following .zip packs from the ANSYS portal by clicking here. Most Mechanical ANSYS users will need to look out for ANSYS Mechanical/Electromagnetics/Explicit Products - 12.0 with Service Pack 12-LM1 under the title ANSYS 12.0 Unified Product Installation Packages. Typical files downloaded are as follows:

• ANSYS Base 12.0 SP1 for Windows 32 or x64
• ANSYS Installation 12.0 for Windows 32 or x64
• ANSYS Mechanical Products 12.0 for Windows 32 or x64
• ANSYS Workbench 12.0 for Windows 32 or x64
• ANSYS CFX Products 12.0 for Windows 32 or x64
• ANSYS Fluent 12.0 for Windows 32 or x64
• ANSYS ICEM CFD 12.0 for Windows 32 or x64

If you do not use CFD, you will not need to download or install CFX, FLUENT or ICEM zip packs: Now unzip all files into one folder and run the Setup.exe. Please note that you will need to upgrade the ANSYS License Manager on your server as well as your own machine if you do not host the license sever (where the keys reside) on your machine. You do not need to uninstall older versions of ANSYS as these will run under the new license manager. Moreover, we advise you do not uninstall older versions until you are fully familiar with ANSYS V12. If you require software media to be sent to you directly, please email ssmith@idac.co.uk complete with your customer number name and address requesting a requesting a physical kit. Please note that this may take a month or so to deliver as it will depend on media availability.
